This brand new cottage boasts a two car carport, luxurious kitchen, dining table that seats eight, laundry complete with washing machine and dryer, large three way bathroom, 1 King sized bed in the Large Master Bedroom with additional Ensuite, 1 Queen sized bed in bedroom two and 2 King Single beds in bedroom 3. The large living area features comfortable lounges and large Television and DVD player with a cosy wood fire and split system air conditioner to provide both heating and cooling. Additional to the living area is a snug brick feature room with a sofa bed, TV and DVD Player. Free WiFi is installed for internet access.
The cottage is cosy in winter with additional outdoor areas featuring a pergola, barbecue and fire-pit. You can enjoy the peaceful evenings around the open fire and stargazing. The property was a wildlife refuge many years ago and native animals still visit and we respect and provide them space. They include native birds and animals who pass through including wallabies, kangaroos and wombats. You can enjoy watching the birds feed on the bird feeders and they appreciate our guests keeping their trays topped up. The property is ideal for small weddings which can be coordinated with the owners.
The cottage is located at the rear of the property, nestled amongst natural bushland with a mountain view from the living and entertainment area.
The large country city of Bathurst is approximately 39 minutes away and Jenolan Caves is a 1 hour drive. The township of Portland is a little town which now boasts the Foundations with the Old Cement Works Silos which have recently been painted by a world renowned artist. The Portland Art Show is held in the Crystal Theatre on the first weekend in March and is one of the best little Art Shows in NSW. The township boasts beautiful replica signs of yesteryear which have been painted on the local shops and hotels.
The historic gold mining town of Sunny Corner is approximately a 20 minute drive and the beautiful Capertee Valley is approximately a 45 minute drive.
The owners live on site towards the front of the property and the main residence has established gardens which guests can utilise for picnics if they wish. There are roads to walk on.
It is a place to relax, unwind get in touch with nature and see the stars.
